Photos with a cherry blossom tree — SKRA•SZN

It’s cherry blossom season here in the Washington, DC area and people are Rushing to see them.

It’s an annual thing for most people who live around here, and to people from other states, to visit the Tidal Basin in DC to witness and take photos of the spectacular display of sakuras. Not only do people go crazy about them, the crowd is even crazy-er! Because you pretty much only get one week to see them in their full glory, it gets extremely packed and crowded there. Parking in DC is already hard enough without these trees, imagine the horror of trying to park there now.

We weren’t able to go this year because not only do we hate crowds, Jorge had to work the whole week the cherry blossoms were at their peak. So even though I really wanted photos of Adeline with the magnificent cherry blossom trees, we couldn’t go. I did however walk around our neighborhood a couple days ago with Adeline and saw that we had cherry blossom trees everywhere! I took some photos with my phone and shared on my Instagram.

In today’s post though, I will be sharing photos of me! The other day, we dropped off Adeline at my mother-in-law’s so I can go with my husband to his shoot at Burke, Virginia. When we got to the location, I saw this lonely yet stunning cherry blossom tree so I decided to do a quick photoshoot with it. After my husband was done shooting for work, I asked him to shoot me for fun! I love how the photos turned out so here we are. Enjoy browsing! 🌸
