Did you know that most makeup products that are out in the market right now carry harmful chemicals that may even cause cancer, infertility, depression, asthma, diabetes, and chronic fatigue among many other things?
My mom and my grandmother passed away because of cancer, a disease that “just happens”, and my dad passed away from this rare disease that we also don’t know what causes it. What if these diseases were just effects of years of constant exposure to these thousands of harmful chemicals that we so conveniently put on our skin and bodies? Isn’t that a scary thought?!

Over the past two decades, the European Union has banned close to 1,400 chemicals in the product formulas of personal care products and restricted the levels of over 250 more in such products. The United States has only partially banned 30! 3o!!! With all of that said, it’s scary to think that there are thousands and thousands of harmful chemicals in the products we use daily, from soaps, shampoos, house cleaning products, baby products, our skincare and makeup products, so on and so forth. And guess what? Brands still continue to produce products with these chemicals knowing that they are bad for us!
