Clean Makeup Products I am Loving Now

Did you know that most makeup products that are out in the market right now carry harmful chemicals that may even cause cancer, infertility, depression, asthma, diabetes, and chronic fatigue among many other things?

My mom and my grandmother passed away because of cancer, a disease that “just happens”, and my dad passed away from this rare disease that we also don’t know what causes it. What if these diseases were just effects of years of constant exposure to these thousands of harmful chemicals that we so conveniently put on our skin and bodies? Isn’t that a scary thought?! I don’t know about you but I want to live a long life with my daughter and husband, and that’s why I’ve decided for my family to only use non-toxic products.

Since switching to using ONLY clean and non-toxic makeup products, I don’t have a huge collection of makeup anymore. And I am actually enjoying it! I’ve simplified my makeup stash and I cannot believe that the makeup that I actually use fit in a small travel makeup bag! I love that I’m actually using the makeup that I own. Right now, I’m using makeup products from 3 brands: Beautycounter, Kosas, and Lilah B. I am excited to start building my clean makeup collection, but for now, let me share with you the clean products that I constantly use to achieve a full face of makeup.

Most of the makeup that I use are from Beautycounter. I’m sure if you have been following along this past month, you know that I LOVE their products and I love them even more because I know they’re safe to use not just for my skin, but for my overall health as well. Beautycounter formulates their products without the bad chemicals. They have a Never List of over 1,500 harmful chemicals that they do not include in their products. I don’t know about you but I want to have peace of mind while looking pretty at the same time!

Here’s a list of the products that I own and love to use from Beautycounter:

  1. Tint Skin Hydrating Foundation (Shade Sand)

  2. Dew Skin Moisturizing Coverage (Shade 03)

  3. Touchup Skin Concealer Pen (Shade Medium 1)

  4. Brilliant Brow Gel (Shade: Soft Black)

  5. Volumizing Mascara

  6. Satin Powder Blush (Shade Nectar)

  7. Radiant All Over Bronzer (Shade Dune)

  8. Luminous Powder Highlight (Shade Topaz)

  9. Color Intense Lipstick (Shade 9 To 5)

  10. Sheer Lipstick (Shade: Twig)

In full disclosure, I am a Beautycounter consultant and I do get a little commission if you purchase through my link. Granted, I love and use these products every time I do my makeup, that’s why I decided to turn this into a side business while also helping women discover safer makeup/skincare options. If you need help with anything Beautycounter, I’m your girl so please do not hesitate to contact me!

As for the products that are not from Beautycounter, you can easily find them in Sephora within their clean options. Kosas and Lilah B. sent me some products last year and I loved them all! Just didn’t use them as much because of the hundreds of other products that I had in my collection. Now that I couldn’t use all my other toxic products, I had to find and highlight the products that I can actually use since switching to #cleanbeauty. So happy when I found out that Kosas and Lilah B were clean makeup brands! bareMinerals also claims to have clean ingredients too but I’m wondering why they don’t have Sephora’s "clean seal”.

Other makeup products I am using now:

  1. Kosas Creme Blush and Highlighter Duo (Shade Tropic Equinox) - This is the prettiest cream cheek palette I own! Because my Beautycounter highlighter’s a little to dark for my skin tone, I use the highlight part of this cheek palette to highlight my face and it gives me such a beautiful natural glow! It has no glitters, just plain gorgeous glow, and because it’s a cream formula, it melts into my skin so beautifully! I apply it with my fingers and/or a beautyblender.

  2. Lilah B. Flawless Finish Foundation - It’s a powder foundation but personally I think it’s too sheer to actually cover up blemishes. So I use this as an overall setting powder. It’s not a mattifying powder which I love because it gives the skin a beautiful healthy glow without being too shiny or dewy! It also doesn’t make my face look cakey. The packaging is so pretty and surprisingly heavy! Lilah B. is an expensive high-end brand and I truly believe it’s because you’re also paying for the packaging. 😂

  3. Lilah B. Palette Perfection Eye Quad (Shade Stunning - Nude) - If you’re looking for an everyday eyeshadow palette that’s clean and non-toxic, this palette is for you, if you don’t mind spending $50! I know, it’s ridiculous because you only get 4 eyeshadows. But to be fair, the formula of these eyeshadows is amazing, and though these four shadows cannot create a hundred different looks, they are your good go-to everyday shades. They have good pigmentation and they blend like a dream. For days when I need more than just my bronzer on my lids, I use this eyeshadow palette for extra drama and sultriness.

  4. Kosas Weightless Lip Color Lipstick (Shade Undone) - I love this long-wearing lipstick because I find that I don’t need to touch it up even after eating! It fades away beautifully. And it’s a huge plus that I know it’s non-toxic!

So there you have it, all the clean makeup products I’m using now!

Are you a clean makeup user too? What are some of your recommendations? If you aren’t yet, are you interested in making the switch? How would you like to get started?
