Versed Guards Up Mineral Sunscreen Review

Sunscreen is the ONE THING everyone should have in their skincare arsenal because the sun is literally out here to ruin us. Slightly exaggerating, but not really. Too much unprotected exposure to the sun’s UV rays can cause skin damage, eye damage, immune system suppression and even skin cancer! Even people in their 20’s can develop skin cancer! I know, it’s serious and scary, so we really must be also serious about protecting ourselves! I’m still trying to be better at applying sunscreen on my body, but I’ve been pretty consistent with applying sunscreen on my face!

This is always the first thing I check in a product. Is it clean? Is it safe? And this sunscreen is definitely listed in my clean book. And it’s also safe for our oceans!
CONTAINS SPF 35
I know, I know, SPF 35 doesn’t seem a lot, but the AAD (American Academy of Dermatology), suggests using a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30, so Versed is still giving us a little bit more than what we need.
IT PROVIDES MORE THAN JUST SUN PROTECTION ☀️
On top of it being an awesome sunscreen, it also protects our skin from environmental pollution and the blue-light (HEV) from our devices.
IT’S A MINERAL SUNSCREEN
Okay, so there’s two types of sunscreen: mineral and chemical. Mineral sunscreen ingredients create a barrier on the surface of the skin that helps reflect UV rays away from the skin, while chemical sunscreen ingredients penetrate the top layers of the skin to absorb UV rays. These filters absorb damaging UV rays before they can damage the skin.
I don’t know about you but I’d rather those harmful rays bounce OFF my skin rather than go into my skin, ya feel? So I do love that this Versed sunscreen deflects harmful UVA, UVB, and HEV(blue light) elements!
NO WHITE CAST!
For real! So this sunscreen works for any skin tone!
IT’S GREAT UNDERNEATH MAKEUP
This oil-free formula is so lightweight and easily absorbs into the skin! It doesn’t feel sticky, it dries semi-matte and it leaves a beautiful subtle glow! See my photo below! I also love how great it is underneath makeup! It hasn’t made my makeup look or feel different.
IT’S RECYCLABLE
Versed doesn’t only create products that are good for people, they make sure the Earth gets some loving too! Not only is this packaging recyclable, it’s also made with 79% post-consumer recycled plastic!
