5 Makeup Products You Need To Achieve Beautiful Glowy Skin This Spring
Spring is just around the corner, and with the warmish weather we've been experiencing lately, everyone's just itching for the new season to come.
I love Spring because I see it as a rebirth of Mother Earth, a new beginning, and growth! Where there's more sun, there's more color, and with that also comes beautiful, radiant, healthy and glowing skin! Today, I'm going to share with you a few products that can help you achieve that fresh-faced luminous dewy skin perfect for the coming season.

1. Brightening and Illuminating Primers
When I first started makeup, I never fully understood the role of primers. Before, it was just an unnecessary extra step and waste of a product, because what is it really for?! But now that more and more brands have come out with amazing primers that cater to different kinds of skin needs, I grew to love them, and now, I can never do my makeup without priming first.
I usually use a pore-filling primer because I really like that doll-like skin finish. But in the Spring and Summer, that can be pretty heavy, so now, I've really been loving the BECCA First Light Priming Filter Instant Complexion Refresh*. As the name suggests, it really does a great job at making your skin look so awake, hydrated, and just luminous! It's lightweight, very easy to blend out, it made my face makeup last longer, and it smells like oranges! So refreshing! The best part about this primer is the beautiful glow it gives to the skin! Even though it is a luminous primer, I noticed that it helped keep my oils at bay. I always get extremely oily on my t-zone, but whenever I use this primer, my nose don't get as oily. 2. Luminous Setting Powders
Spring time is the time to say goodbye to an extremely matte face! Find yourself a luminous setting powder that can give you a beautiful and healthy glow! The one that I've really loved using is the BECCA Soft Light Blurring Powder*. It's a loose powder that blurs out imperfections and gives the skin a beautiful golden glow! If you have light-medium to dark skin, this will look amazing on your skin! If you are fair. you might not like this product because it might make your face look a little dark. To make it work, you can mix this with your regular brightening powder. I apply this powder with BECCA's Soft Kabuki Brush*.

3. Cream Blushes and Luminous Powder Blushes
Using a cream blush can help give you a dewier look, but make sure to use one that won't feel too sticky on the skin. If the cream blush needs setting, use a luminous powder blush on top! Some of my favorite powder blushes that give a beautiful glow are:

4. Cream/Powder Highlighters
What's a dewy face without actual highlighters? Same with blushes, using a cream highlighter looks amazing on the skin! If you want your highlight to be seen from outer space, this is one trick I like to do:
1. use a cream highlighter as a base
2. spray your setting mist across your face
3. while your face is still wet, apply your powder highlighter on top of the cream
4. BAM! You're now a blinding goddess!
But be careful not to overdo it. Too much highlight can also look really ugly and sloppy. One more pro tip, if you have texture around your cheeks, do not apply highlighter over them. You want those tiny bumps to NOT be "highlighted" so again, avoid applying product on those areas.

5. Makeup Setting Sprays
Setting sprays - they're amazing, and you need at least one in your life! These sprays lock in all the beating you've done to your face, and they ensure that your makeup lasts all day! There are different kinds of setting sprays in the market right now, so just do your research and choose one that will work well with your skin type. If you have oily skin, you can go ahead and still use a matte setting spray, because based from experience, you can end up looking too oily if you use a dewy setting spray. If you have normal to dry skin, you can experiment with trying out hydrating and dewy skin mists!
Pro-tip: if your face is looking a little too powdery or cakey, use a setting spray. It will make your face makeup will look like skin again!
