10 (Non-Toxic) Nail Polish Shades You Need To Wear this Summer

There's a reason why my nurse told me to remove my nail polish when I gave birth to my daughter, and I'm sure you know that reason very well too! IT'S TOXIC!

I don’t remember the last time I wore nail polish on my fingernails for this reason, and honestly, I MISS IT! There’s just something about beautifully painted nails that make me feel good about myself; like I’m a woman who sees the value in taking care of herself! I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way. Well, lucky for me and my fellow nailaholics, there are safer options out there and I’m glad more and more brands are getting rid of a number of harmful chemicals from their nail polish formula! Londontown is one of these brands!

LONDONTOWN is a 9-Free brand which means they do not carry these 9 harmful chemicals in their formulas: Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Toulene, Camphor, DBP, Xylene, Ethyl Tosylamide, Acetone, TPHP. If the nail polishes you’re using now contain these toxins, I suggest you ditch them asap! It’s pretty scary what a lot of these toxins found in nail polishes do to your body! See: toxins in nail polish study

Londontown’s lakurs (nail colors) and kurs (nail care) are vegan except for Restorative Nail Cream, Fresh Glow Cuticle Remover & Serum. Furthermore, what sets Londontown apart from a lot of nail brands is that all their products are infused with Florium Complex, a propriety blend of botanicals that will help keep our nails stronger and healthier! Not only does Londontown make us feel like ultimate boss babes with our pretty manis and pedis, they care about our nails’ overall health too! QUICK REVIEW:

  • The lakurs are very pigmented and they look opaque with two coats.

  • The lakurs have the perfect consistency; not too thick, not too thin.

  • The brush is wider than your normal nail polish brand so it covers more area as you brush through your nails. The cap however makes application a little harder than usual because it’s shaped like a square; it’s a little challenging to hold the brush properly.

  • The lakur and kurs that I’ve tried have this gel-like look without making my nails look too thick.

  • With or without the top coat, Londontown leaves the nails with a beautiful glossy finish!

  • I personally think that the polishes dry fairly quickly even though they don’t claim to be fast-drying.

Shade: Murray Me

The shade I’m wearing in the picture is called Murray Me and first of all, I love the name because I’m a sucker for good puns! It’s the perfect bridal nail polish shade hence the name but it’s also so perfect for the summertime! It’s like a muted white shade which I think will compliment more skin tones! I applied one coat of the Gel Genius Base Coat, two coats of Murray Me, and one coat of the Gel Genius Top Coat.

Now that we got all that out of the way, I’m going to share what you came here for! Here are some shades that I think will be perfect for summer, and the best part, THEY’RE SAFE!
