5 Fashion Tips That Will Make You Feel Closer To Loved Ones

Nothing in this life is more important than friends and family.

So, if your fashion choices can pay homage to those relationships while simultaneously creating a great look, you’d be a fool to miss out. Especially now, during this time of social distancing, it’s nice to find ways on how we can feel closer to our loved ones, and one fun way is through fashion! Today, I’m sharing 5 simple tips on how you can do just that!

1. Carry Loved Ones With You

Having a loved one by your side can provide emotional comfort and a source of confidence in tough moments. Whether it’s a job interview or a confrontation, the feeling of having them in your heart counts for everything. Necklaces for cremation ashes are particularly beneficial for this reason. Even when a loved one has left this world, they can continue to bring warmth to your daily life.

Another easy way is to carry photos of loved ones in your purse or phone’s wallpaper.

2. Match With Your Child

I love to do this with my daughter! If you are a mom of a girl, matching with your baby is super cute and can be super sweet. Some do get it wrong by either babyfying themselves or making their daughters look too old. However, there are ways to color coordinate or use the same quick hairstyle in an effective way. It can create a very powerful joint look. Moreover, it can get your child excited about beauty, fashion, and being with mom. Perfect.

3. Wear Accessories From A Loved One

Has your child created a piece of artwork just for you? Or maybe your spouse wrote a poem. Either way, you can turn those words or products into something special. For example, the words could be printed onto a tote bag. However, a child’s artwork could be printed onto a t-shirt or turned into a bracelet. It shows your appreciation, which is a great way to give back to your loved one. More importantly, each time you look at the time, you’ll be reminded of your love.

4. Upcycle A Loved One’s Old Clothes

Most people go through several wardrobes worth of clothes in their lifetime. When your spouse no longer wants to wear an old t-shirt, you may use it as your bed shirt. But you could take the sentiment to another level by upcycling their old items. The blend of unique fashion and emotional comfort gained from keeping a piece of them on your possession can work wonders. It can extend to lost loved ones. For example, it’s a nice way to remember grandparents.

5. Wear Items That Remind You Of A Special Moment

Did you complete a marathon with a loved one? Or maybe you enjoyed a date watching the local sports team? Either way, apparel that reminds you of those memorable moments will also remind you of the relationship you share. Outfits will usually be casual clothes. Still, you can add this to formal wear through tie clips or other small accessories. Of course, the other option is to tattoo the date of your wedding or child’s birth.

Fashion can tell your personal story. When they do, the sentimental value will be huge.

Now it’s your turn! What are some of you favorite ways to feel closer to your loved ones in your fashion choices? Let me know below!
